So, you got a fancy new camera but you’re still not getting the pictures that you imagine in your mind? Photos of your kid at the soccer game are blurry? Or your dance recital pics are too dark? You want to make stunning portraits but it’s just not happening?
This class is designed for photography beginners and photo enthusiasts looking to learn the basics of digital photography- both the art and the science of it.
You’ll learn and understand what all those buttons and settings do! But more importantly, you’ll actually learn how to best use them! Tammi will be covering:
- F Stops
- Shutter Speed
- White Balance
- ISO (Light Sensitivity)
- Proper Exposure
These mechanics will give you a basic understanding of HOW to make a good image, and then we’ll dive into how to SEE through your lens and make your images POP through composition, leading lines, finding the right light source (indoor and outdoor), the rule of thirds, angles and posing, and much much more!
You’ll need a digital camera to do the exercises. Ideally a digital SLR, but any camera with manual exposure control (aperture and shutter speed) will work.
The class will be taking place at the beautiful arts Building at Rabun Gap Nacoochee School in Rabun Gap Georgia. Saturday, January 26 from 1-4:00 pm.
No matter your skill level or the type of camera you own, you will soak in some of the best information regarding photography you will ever receive. You’ll leave the classroom knowing how to operate your camera and the inspiration to put that knowledge into practice.
